A Contemporary Last Supper

Last Supper by Joey Velasco (via Jim Paredes @ Multiply).

I grew up in the Philippines so this image is very powerful for me.
Even when you’re in the city you don’t have to go out of your way to
see poverty-stricken kids. You see them everyday on your way to work
and on your way back home. It’s one of the stark realities you have to
live with in a third world developing country. But more often than not,
you’ll see these kids playing in the streets, laughing, and seemingly
happy.
