I’m currently beta testing a new internet app called Joost. What the heck is Joost?
"Joost is a new way of watching TV on the internet. With Joost, you get
all the things you love about TV, including a high-quality full-screen
picture, hundreds of full-length shows and easy channel-flipping."
That’s the short and sweet description. So far, I’m enjoying it! The
interface is crisp and very friendly. The sign up is a breeze. The widgets are a cool. There
are tons of available channels and videos to watch.
From National Geographic documentaries, to classic cartoons like The Transformers, to Sports
Illustrated models (ahem). This service looks very promising,
especially because of its partnerships with BIG TIME content providers.
My only gripe right now is that I noticed that I get disconnected from
certain programs with the error message saying that the problem could
be my internet connection or at their end. I suspect that it’s the
volume of traffic that they’re getting on the programs (e.g. Sports
Illustrated programs). But anyway, it’s still on beta so these problems
are to be expected. So far, I’m impressed with the overall quality of
the application and the available content. So I’ll be following this
very closely. Right now, Joost is invite-only, so if you’re interested,
drop me a comment and I’ll send you an invite so you can check it out.
In the meantime, here’s a juicy Joost commercial. Can’t wait to watch 24 on Joost!

Thanks!
I would appreciate an invite. Still don’t have a television and this would be a nice bridge back to that addictive content I’ve been mostly avoiding.
Any TV shows I watch come from iTunes or the video store. Just finished Veronica Mars first season (and I’m only slightly embarrassed).
Thanks for the review.
I’d love to check out Juicy Joost. ;-D
Joost invite!?!?! Yes, please!
. . . i would *love* to try it if you have any invites left
Sure, I’ll try it out, if you still have some invites left.
Dropped you a note on flickr too. Would like to check it out.
